I'm at work and I should be working, but I'm a little emotional so I thought blogging would help. I've been blogging a lot about just Dakota lately so I apologize, but he has had a lot of transitions these past few weeks. TODAY is his first day of "big" school. We had a little issue with his uniform this morning (meaning he didn't want to wear it), but then I explained that EVERYONE had to wear the same thing and that put him a little more at ease.
I was allowed to walk him to his classroom for this first day only. We both did just fine walking there (no tears or obvious anxiety) and he seemed content as I paused at the door for just a split second to give him a kiss and then turned to walk away. I wasn't expecting my tears to come so freely or so quickly at the very moment I turned my back to him to leave.
Just another day I suppose that I will mark on the calendar as "memorable."
P.S. HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY AYDEN & HAPPY 9th ANNNIVERSARY JOSH & STACY!

I did the same thing with Seth--the first of much "letting go". He had only ever been under my watchful eye and it was hard to hand that over to someone else I hardly knew!!
He looks so cute in his uniform. What a wonderful mother you are.
Awww...my mom cried with me my first day of school. It is hard to see your baby grow up.
You have joined the ranks of Great Moms! We've all been there. He looks so cute.
