And... We're off for Vacation

Thursday morning we're heading up to Arkansas for a little getaway before Brent starts his new job. The original plan was for Brent, Dakota, and I to take a trip somewhere and we considered San Antonio. Well, then we asked Josh and Stacy and their family if they would like to come along and they jumped on the bandwagon. We weren't set on San Antonio as the destination so we welcomed suggestions from Josh and Stacy. We pulled out the Atlas about a month ago and all agreed somewhere in Arkansas. We liked the Hot Springs area and found an awesome Resort/Campground at DeGray Lake which is about 20 minutes from Hot Springs.

After we made the decison of where we were going, we thought we would invite Aaron and Jeni to see if they wanted to come along. It didn't take them long to decide that they were in. A couple of days later, Josh had our older brother Jason over at his house and Jason overheard Stacy talking to Brent on the phone about the vacation. Jason asked Josh where we were going and Josh told him. Jason had plans to go camping with his family at the end of July anyway so he decided to come along. Josh then felt like we should invite our other brother Matt so he didn't feel left out so now he's coming along. I invited our sister Meredith who lives in Orlando with her husband and daughter, but they won't be able to make it because they will already be in Louisiana next week for a family wedding. So, it turns out that this little vacation is kind of a Mangum/Hutchinson family reunion so to speak. Needless to say, we're pretty excited. While our family is camping, Brent and I will be staying in the Resort Lodge (we're very excited about this!)

Should be back at home Monday night!
