My work Christmas Party was this past Wednesday night. There were 20 of us who went to dinner and then to a karaoke bar next door to make good on some betting that took place in our office during the college football season. The bet was based around the 2008 College football season. Each week we would get a print out of all of the college football games taking place that particular week. We had to pick 10 games each week and decide if the favored team would cover the spread, or, if the underdog would beat the spread. This may be a little confusing if you don't understand the spread system.

To make things interesting at the beginning of the season, my co-workers/boss decided that not only would the top 2 winners get lunch anywhere of there choice and the rest of the group would pick up the tab, but that the overall loser with the lowest amount of points would have to sing Karaoke at The Cadillac here in Baton Rouge. This may not sound too terrible to some people, but with our office crew it caused a tremendous amount of anxiety for everyone. This bet took place for the duration of the season (a total of 15 weeks) and it finally came to an end this past weekend. I am proud to say that not only was I not in last place, but I actually tied for 1st place... Whoo hoo! Now I just have to decide what fancy restaurant I want to eat at.

Brent took part in some karaoke and, as always, was fantastic. He even won $60 from another bet they created that night for the best performance. The pot ($120) was actually split between one of my co-workers and him. Here's some photos from that night.
