Uncle Aaron Graduates from LSU Dental School

After several years of dedication and hard work, Aaron Mangum finally graduates from Dental school. We're so proud of you Aaron and we really enjoyed spending the weekend with 18 members of the Mangum clan.

Here's a list of some of the weekend's events:

Dakota and I (Robin) went to the N.O. Children's Museum on Friday morning while the "Original Mangums" (Carl & Paula) along with the Mangum Brothers and Jeni attended the LSU Dental School award ceremony/hooding

The entire Mangum group met back up at Aaron and Jeni's place in Old Metairie and went for an afternoon Trolley ride down St. Charles Avenue and other historic streets.

We took a nice long walk from Canal Street to Cafe Du' Monde in the French Quarter for some refreshing beignets.

We were a little exhausted from the walk, so Uncle Craig hitched all 18 of us a ride on two horse drawn carriages. It was bliss, but I think our horse (I actually think it was a Mule) was a little tired because he kept stopping to rest

We attended a very long, but good, graduation ceremony for the new dentist on Saturday morning.

We had a family BBQ Saturday afternoon hosted at Aaron & Jeni's place.

We celebrated Dr. Gooch's (Uncle Craig's) 33rd Birthday on Saturday.

The adult Mangum's went out for dessert and ice cream Saturday evening at the famous Angelo Brocato's while Nana Mangum volunteered so graciously to stay behind with all of her sleeping grand-munchkins.

After ice cream I opted out of the very late night showing of Angels and Demons and went back to our lovely hotel for a peaceful night's rest.

We had to say our goodbyes on Sunday afternoon. Dakota was so sad to leave his 7 cousins that he was nearly crying when we got home and kept asking when he was going to see his cousins again. It was so sweet, but sad at the same time. Brent was pretty sick the whole weekend with a severe head cold, but he finally seems to be getting better. Thanks Dr. Gooch (Craig) for calling that prescription in for him. I think it has helped tremendously. We love you Mangum clan. We were missing one of the Mangum siblings and her family from Ohio, but hope to see them a little later on this year.

EXHAUSTED!

We know we have done a good job wearing him out when he's asleep with his eyes open.
