I love hosting parties! Last night Brent and I had the opportunity to host a CO-ED party/shower for our good friends Jacob and Jane. It was a lot of fun. There's something about hosting a party even with all of the organizing and planning that really makes me feel accomplished. I love making things beautiful, but simple, and when I'm the host I feel like I get to do that. My ideal job would be a part-time event/party planner, but unfortunately Baton Rouge just doesn't have much of a market for it. One day I really hope to land my dream job. Until then, I'll just keep dreaming.

Here's a few pics from the party last night. It was a pool party too so that's why you see some variations in clothing attire.

By the way, co-ed showers are a lot of fun. Especially when you make the guys play the typical shower games.

Thanks for the fun time! We really enjoyed it and the food was awesome! You have a knack for party planning for sure!

We had a great time, and it was nice to do something without the kids for the first time in who knows how long. You're the hostess with the mostest! I loved the crape myrtle arrangements.

I think it is crape. Glad ya'll had fun. We should try and plan more co-ed things maybe every other month or so without the kiddos.
