The parents flew home from The MTC on August 12th to pick-up their vehicle and drive out to their mission in Nebraska on Saturday, Aug. 14th. There was a small window on Friday for us to be able to visit with them so we made the 6-hour round trip drive to say our goodbyes. It was worth it. Even if we did spend more time on the road than we did with them.
Good luck Mom & Pop Mangum! We'll visit you in the blistering cold winter.

It was super sad to see their very weighed-down van drive away and turn the corner. I had been holding tears the whole weekend until the very end.
Oh, and Happy Birthday to "hairiest butt" winner (according to his brothers, I have no personal experience in this area).
We'll take good care of them in Nebraska. As for visiting in the blistering cold...you might want to change your plans to April-October. :) Though I think it snowed last October. And the April before that. Hm...
I bet it was super sad!!! I have tears welling up and it has been a couple of weeks and I didn't even have to see the weighed down van turn the corner. Thanks for being there for them!!!!
The van is unloaded, we didn't need to bring all that STUFF! We were sure sad to leave, however it was just good to finally be getting stared! We love the MISSION and we love and miss you all!
