The MISSISSIPPI River has become quite the tourist attraction in downtown Baton Rouge over the past week. As you can see, the water has risen to half way up the levee and is expected to crest in about 2 weeks about 8 feet higher than it is right now. Just to give you a frame of reference, there is usually grass that you can walk on pretty much all the way out to the battleship you see in the background.
