So much to blog about - So little time!

First of all, what a week! The story of the 6-year old shark attack girl hit the airwaves on Tuesday evening July, 19th and spread all of the major news stations like wild fire...the interesting thing here is that that wasn't just a little 6-year old girl to us. Lucy Mangum - our little niece in North Carolina is Brent's brother Craig's second oldest child. She's pretty amazing even without the shark attack story to talk about. She's spunky, imaginative, and so much more. She suffered some serious injuries to her leg and has undergone two surgeries in the past week to repair the damage. We understand that things are going well and she IS expected to make a great recovery after some physical therapy and time. Lucy's parents are stellar. You can tell from their interviews how poised and calm they are. We know without a doubt that Lucy has a tremendous amount of LOVE coming her way, and we know that our Heavenly Father, along with skilled surgeons and doctors, have the power to heal. What an amazing story, right?! I mean really, who can say they were attacked by a Shark? We are proud to be part of this great big family and ask for continued prayers on Lucy's behalf.

Mom and Dad celebrate 43 YEARS!!!
This is another big story for us. Carl & Paula Mangum are currently still in Omaha, Nebraska serving a full-time Mission. Yesterday was their 43rd Anniversary! Congrats guys on over 4 decades of a happy, successful marriage.

Lauren Mangum turn 8!
We are FINALLY all four going to fly to Utah next week to spend time with our Utah Mangum's. Mark's oldest daughter Lauren celebrated her 8th birthday as well yesterday and will be baptized while we are in Utah. We are very, very excited to fly out west and to spend time with the family and to meet Mark & Janna's newest arrival Maya Kate.

What?! We don't have cable so I haven't seen the news lately but that is crazy! What an incredible story. I'm so glad she's going to be ok! Can you imagine that being your child? Scary! We'll keep her in our prayers!
